2018 Green Day Volunteers / La Huasteca Park

The “Green Day” is a volunteer program fostered in Mexico by CEMEX with the purpose of improving green areas and promoting environmental care and preservation, which also seeks to promote these values in children and youth to build better communities and a better future together.
The volunteer program “Green Day” originated in 2013, and since its inception up to date, around 27,444 trees have been planted by more than 7,895 volunteers in Mexico.
The “2018 Green Day” in Monterrey, plans to reforest half a hectare of the Cumbres de Monterrey National Park. This event will be held in collaboration with the Reforestamos Mexico organization, where an approximate of 500 trees will be planted to seek the greatest possible reduction of carbon dioxide emissions. Around 1,300 volunteers will benefit more than 80,000 people nationwide with their work and effort.
Other environmental activities that CEMEX Mexico continuously develops are: Community Environmental Restoration Program (PRAC), environmental conservation programs, environmental awareness workshops, among others.
